Oh yeah, Batam (read: Baaaad-tame in ang moh) was really fun yesterday despite me experiencing the full-fledged onslaught of "first day women's syndrome".
What (bloody) luck. It's no joke having to change 5 tamp*ns in a span of 9 hours.
Constantly having to traipse between the dodgy dingy toilet and the cable-ski site was such a chore.
But I really enjoyed myself very much despite the fact that I felt vunerable at times and wondered if .....(ladies, you can understand my insecurities if you kept feeling something btw yr legs)
In case you are wondering, there are plenty of eye candies on site. Thanks to my GBGS member, hobbit for the $85 full-day cable-ski lobang! It's much much bigger and cheaper than the cable ski park at East Coast and it's uber fun although yr arms will probably tire out by the 7th or 8th round in a span of 2-3 hours;
The knee-ski is much easier; you will just kneel down on a boards and go round and round the pool;
But wakeboarding was much more tougher and I had yet to master it though..Fell "roti-prata" flat a few times while attempting to wakeboard cos the sudden jerk of the fast-movin' cable tuggin' at yr line just makes the start really difficult to control.
Yeah, you will just fall flat even before you can sail smoothly on the waters! haha! Wakeboarding is definately more challenging (probably 5 times tougher!) than diving! but you will feel dammm good if you can finally master the sport.

The HUGE cable ski park and there's a lovely perch for sunbathers too. Sweet*

My $3 "Havana" from Philippines versus Hob's "$34 "Havaianas"! Looks like I've gotten the better end of the deal cos it looks exactly like the real thing! Totally bangin' the buck man! =)
Hobbit's talented cousin Linus, is totally great with cameras since he was a film and art grad from the states (albeit such arty-farty genes does not apply to all cousins in the Chen famiy *ahem* just kiddin'!)
