Shanghai's Iconic "Ming Zhu Ta"
Breathtaking view of the city and the famous stretch of European style buildings called "The Bund". Of course, what you see isn't always what you get- The income gap btw the Rich and Poor are getting wider and wider as we speak. The countryside still has slums, pollution is worse than ever.

But I must say Olympics 2008 definately improved the state of the toilets! Especially those along the expressways! No more umbrellas or human waste staring back at you when you squirm around with naked butts surrounding you....

Shanghai's famous "Huang Pu Jiang", be sure to catch a boat ride at night for more breathtaking night scenery.
Rain, Rain, Cold....*brrrr*
Waxed Piggies, anyone?
The burial ground of the most respected lady in China, Mdm Soong Ching-Ling, Wife of Sun Yat Sen, and part of the famous Soong sisters trio.

She's really a very remarkable, kind-hearted lady, go read up on her life story! =)

A popular chinese quote:

"Shang you Tian Tang (Heaven) , Xia you Su (Su Zhou) Hang (Hang Zhou)"

I'm in beautiful Su Zhou now, This is the lake where they catch hairy crabs (Da Zha Xie)!

I sank my teeth into one of these delicious crabs in Su Zhou! So yummmyyy!

I can't believe they cost at least $60 bucks each in Singapore, it's only $20 here! (Still considered an expensive treat for a palm size crab!) This is the iconic "Han Shan Shi" in Su Zhou, where the famous chinese "Shi" (poem) by Tang poet, Zhang Ji, was inspired:

"Yue4 Luo4 Wu1 Di2 Shuang1 Man3 Tian1,

Jiang1 Feng1 Yu3 Huo2 duai4 Chou3 Mian2,

Jiang1 Su1 Chen2 Wai4 Han2 Shan1 Shi4,

Yei4 Pan4 Zhong1 Shen1 Dao4 Ke3 Chuang2"

In front of the temple gate stands a saffron yellow screen wall. On the gate, is a horizontal board inscribed with Gu Han Shan Si or Ancient Cold Mountain Temple.

Inside the temple gate, when one walks past a screen with carved images of the Buddha, they would come into view of two statues on a huge lotus-shaped base.

Both with disheveled hair and bare chests and unshod feet, one had in hand a ritual bottle and the other a lotus flower. These are the images of Monk Han Shan and Monk Shi De. During the course of their travel, they arrived at Suzhou where these two monks assumed charge of the Cold Mountain Temple.

Hence, the temple was named "Han Shan", after one of the monks.

I've been to China about 5 times (thanks to free SQ ticks), and people are always amazed(due to the strict One-Child policy) by the sight of my mum with two sons. (Girl not important lor)

This time round, people are amazed by the sight of my aunt and her three sons! The Ah mah actually shouted to all her friends across the river to tell them about my Aunt and her 3 boys.

I'm in Nan Jing now! At the city center....Sad to say, China Men are ALLLL MCPs. I pity girls here. Of course, the more educated chinese people have more social grace.

The rest are just......*Bleep*......

China's MOST Iconic bridge, the pride of Mao's party in 1957: The "Zhe Jiang" Bridge.

A war show, based on "Romance of the 3 kingdoms" ~ Ala Hollywood style. *hecks*
I'm in Hang Zhou now! Watching a performance!

Hang Zhou is very beautiful! And the famous "West lake" is located here too.

Vignesh's crush: READ CHEN YE's Hometown =))))

"Madame White Snake" and "Butterfly Lovers" are the two epics that orginate from this beautiful province. Everyone in Hang Zhou is very proud of the origins of these two famous love stories!

That explains why Chen Ye is so crazy over "Liang Shan Po & Zhu Ying Tai". =)))))))))))

Taking a stroll at a park near "Xi Hu" (West Lake)
I'm back in Shanghai! At the touristy-"Chen huang Miao Jie".

...Was at Yi Wu, but I did'nt take any pictures there, but the Yi Wu wholesalers business centre is crazily big at 2 km wide! It's so easy to source for cheap suppliers for EVERYTHING there.

Taking the boat ride along "Huang Pu Jiang", where you get to relish the night scene and a good view of "The Bund".

There were strong typhoon winds that night! This boat ride was almost cancelled...
Bye bye China!
